There I am, super sweaty and surprisingly, not as tired as I expected. I’m not a jogger. At. All. But, since I began working out with Beach Body on the 21 Day Fix, I’ve gained muscle, strength, flexibility, energy, and most importantly, confidence, sooo naturally, I wanted to jog to see just how far I’ve come in the past 64 days. It also helps that I’m 15 pounds lighter than when I started this whole process.

My goal is to eventually do 5K in 40 minutes. I haven’t done my research so I don’t know if that’s a reasonable goal. I’ll do my research later šŸ™‚ For now, I’m just enjoying being outside after having been cooped up in the house all winter. I love that my kids saw me jogging outside and were stoked about it. My husband takes them for car rides while I exercise since, for them, car rides are AMAZING. They just love them. My little one kept saying, “I saw mama get small and small! Mama run fast!” lol. She didn’t realize that the car was driving fast, and I was jogging SLOW. The best thing about this whole process is that my kids are learning through example. They ask me to practice balancing, we stretch together, and they absolutely love doing these:

There’s S on my shoulders. She’s afraid of heights so this is a great way to get her used to being up high. I’m 5’8 šŸ™‚ I can only manage 12 of these squats with S on my shoulders, and then of course, I have to do another 12 squats with V on my shoulders! 2 kids, equals 2 or 4 sets of EVERYTHING.

This works the back of my flabby arms, and my chest of course. Keeping my legs raised and stable is the hardest part! It kills my abs and thighs. S is 53 lbs!


I had a chocolate Shakeology for Breakfast today, and this for my post work out lunch:

1 egg, 3 egg whites, soya sauce, coconut oil, and a wrap with red cabbage, mayo, and turkey.

I think I have a secret love affair with egg whites.
