I started Ashley’s meal plan today. I’ll be eating this new plan for 40 days (the end of June). Why am I doing this? Just because I want to. I want to lose weight fast without losing muscle mass. I’m aiming to lose 10lbs in 5 weeks. On average I’ve been losing about 1.25lbs a week. I’ve heard TONS of stories about people who’ve lost more than 2lbs a week and I want to be one of them! Their weight loss is impressive and wonderful, but I know that it’s not a sustainable healthy weight loss, and so, I set a goal at just 2 lbs per week for 4 weeks. After that, I’ll go back to my 1.25. This is my last month with a personal trainer so I want to see how far and how hard I can push myself, while having a real physical person to hold me accountable. The meal plan isn’t too different from the 21 Day fix but the portions are smaller, and there are less carbs. Strangely enough, I feel stuffed all the time.
I get bored easily and so I have to switch things up. As long as I have some sort of challenge every month, I know I’ll continue to exercise and get healthier. This just happens to be my personal challenge for the month. I gave myself 2 weeks to get used to the plan, because the no sugar challenge is beginning on May 31. I’ve cut out tons of sugar as it is, so I don’t think I’ll go nuts without sugar for 7 days. I know I can do this, and I know I’ll complain like a baby every step of the way…just because I can.
